Student Placements arising from Infrastructure Malta and Department of Spatial Planning and Infrastructure collaboration
Infrastructure Malta and the Department of Spatial Planning and Infrastructure at the University of Malta's Faculty for the Built Environment have teamed up to offer internships to nine students. These students come from various academic levels, including third-year students in the BSc in Built Environment Studies and first and second-year students in the MEng in Civil Engineering program.
These internships give students a chance to become familiar with the opportunities within the infrastructure field provided by public organizations. They will work in different divisions of Infrastructure Malta to gain hands-on experience with the agency's work. Moreover, students who have completed their final year in the MEng in Civil Engineering program can count this experience toward becoming warranted periti.
The Department of Spatial Planning and Infrastructure eagerly embraces these student-focused opportunities, allowing students to blend their academic studies with practical, real-world experience. The Department expresses its gratitude to Infrastructure Malta for this opportunity, as it aligns with the department's vision of actively participating in and contributing to the professional world. The department hopes that this collaboration will continue to be fruitful and expand further.
Infrastructure Malta, on its side, warmly welcomes this collaboration with the Department of Spatial Planning and Infrastructure. The agency remains committed to sharing its extensive knowledge with all students, who represent the future workforce.
